Hosting an Author event will bring value and excitement to you organization!
Butterfly Hill is a wonderful story for children ages 4 to 12. The book was several years in the making and just how the book came to be published is a story of it's own. Adult's enjoy the story as much as children.
The speaking fee is $100.00 per hour. The presentation runs one hour and includes a book reading and audience participation. Books may be purchased at an event or before the event.
Book Summary: The 32 page book is about realizing one's fears and facing them with confidence. We all—both young and old—have had butterflies in our tummy!
About the Author: Jennifer Schwartz was a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago and went on to a career in fashion in New York City. Her son Max inspired the story by asking how do butterflies get in your stomach? Her father Dennis is a former Junior High Teacher, Professional Hockey official, Author, Business Executive and Designer of miniature golf courses. He was active in the finishing of the book for his daughter, Jennifer, who was unable to complete it after a battle with a very rare cancer. His other daughter, Kimberly, did the rewrite to help in fulfilling one of Jenny's many projects. A portion of proceeds from the book sales go to the Jennifer Schwartz Art Scholarship through Walled Lake High Schools.
